Zombie | Plants vs Zombie

I know that technically I said Fan Art Friday would be cartoon characters and anime but I really enjoy the Plants Vs Zombie franchise and well it is October.

So here it is, your zombie!

Vegeta | Dragon Ball Z

Vegeta, the prince of the Saiyan warriors and one of the last of his species.

If you know nothing about Dragon Ball Z, he was brought up to be a ruthless conquer of worlds (basically a space Viking), but his planet was destroyed when he was a boy and he ended up being raised by the man that murdered his father and countless other Saiyans. He was introduced on the show as a terrible villain, as the show went on he helped the heroes fight the man that destroyed the Saiyan home-world and relocated to earth and had a family.

There's is a lot more to the story and to the character but Vegeta is one of the coolest characters on the entire show.

Edward Elric | Fullmetal Alchemist

Fullmetal Alchemist is one of the best animes I have ever seen. It can make you crack up laughing and sob within a few episodes. There are some character I see on screen and instantly want to cry because of how tragic their stories are. With others I am glad they got what they deserved and a few that ended up truly happy.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's an emotional ride so, prepare yourself.

The show is centered around two brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric. Edward is the elder of the two and shoulders all the responsibility for what happened to them and he spends every moment of his life trying to fix it.

Inuyasha | Inuyasha

I watched a lot of anime as a child. Back in the early 2000's Cartoon Network was filled with it going from their Toonami block to Adult Swim. It was one action-packed, supernatural thrill after the other and I loved watching those shows with my siblings.

One of my favorite things about Inuyasha was how much he cared, even though he pretended not to. He was an arrogant, selfish, tough guy, that only wanted to get stronger but it was a front to keep people away. He was a deeply scared by the way he was treated for his half-breed blood and the "betrayal" he faced. But under all that facade and brooding he cares deeply for his friends.

I see right through dude.

Gir | Invader Zim

Invader Zim is one of those shows that I loved to watch and is probably part of the reason why I'm kind of messed up. The show was both hilarious and disturbing.  It's strange to think back on all the time I spent watching the show and it was only 27 episodes.

Fan Art Friday

I'm starting a new series called "Fan Art Friday".

Each week I will pick a different cartoon, anime, or manga character and make a text portrait of them.

Final Space : Mooncake

Final Space is a series on TBS that has nuzzled its way to my heart. It was created by Olan Rogers who is most known for his storytelling on his YouTube channel (and of course Final Space). I don't remember how I came across his video "Ghost In The Stalls" but ever since then I've been a fan. For six years I have watched, laughed, rejoiced, and cried because of his stories, sketches, and life updates.

Final Space just wouldn't be the same without Mooncake. He is adorable, loves to gives hugs, and has the ability to destroy and entire planet. How can all that power come in such an adorable package? Well you'll just have to watch the show to find out.

The background says "Final Space" in various shades of blue.

Mooncake is made out of his name and his catchphrase "Chookity Pok". What does it mean? Probably somewhere along the lines of "Hug me."
